Lichen on the Rock

Lens Day: Portrait

Actually, his name is Luke, but when he wrote down his email address for me to send him copies of the photos I took, it started with "lichen". And that "rock" is part of the U.S.S. Darter - U.S.S. Dace Memorial.

Moody Monday: Musical

Taken during the MSHS Choral Concert tonight. There was a special performance by the MSHS Jazz Band (and singers), and they were awesome!

Kinda Cool News

I received an email today from Dennis Whitley, Director of 8-18 Media, asking if he could send one of my photos from the 8-18 Media Recognition Night, which was held on April 30th at North Star Academy, to Pat from Marquette Monthly. It will be used in the "City Notes" section of their June issue. This is the photo I sent him:

Update: Yes, it was published in the Marquette Monthly. No, I did not receive photo credit. But that's okay with me. I'm just glad they could use something that I'll probably not use -- other than here and/or Flickr. :^)

Oil Spill Update

We were assured by the news and newspaper that the oil spill in Marquette's Lower Harbor was cleaned up. Maybe my eyes (and camera) are deceiving me. Perhaps I need my glasses cleaned. What do YOU think?
